so yea...my headlights dont go up and down on they're own, and when i looked i found out that the previous idiot...whoops i mean owner...cut outt the connectors off the headlight motors as well as the body of the car...so now in their place all i have are three wires taped together on each end...does anyone know which wires connect to which wires?? (colors please) i have the three wire headlight system

 

lets see if I can get this corrected wiring diagram attached...

basically,(dark)blue to blue (blue / white depending on side)
gray to gray
green to green (green / white)

It may be with a car that old the motors are shot - the previous idiot cut the wires to bypass the problem. If after you get them wired back up they still don't work Top Down Solutions sells a kit for repairing the worn out parts that works very well - I know this from my own experience - the headlamp motors are notorious crap - the kit improves them greatly.

 

yea but i can still crank them up manually, so the "gears" are fine, so im HOPINg that it should just be power to make it work..if not..hes left one spare motor in the trunk, we'll see..lets just hope i can bypass the connectors!

 

update....so i went out with that wiring diagram and checked, turns out he wasnt only an idiot...hes completley retarded!!! theres a relay in between the chassis and the motors, and it looks as if hes cut out the relay for some godforsaken reason.....so i need to now find a headlight motor relay...thanks for all your help guys
