TACH QUESTION and some weird code
So ive heard that most 3rd gens factory tachs are usually off for some reason, at idle mines sits at about 1500 RPM,
. BUT, i wanna get an aftermarket tach anyways so my question is....when i hook up my autometer tach will i get the correct readings? will both tachs work at the same time? i mean i wont care about the factory one after i get the autometer but i jus wanna make sure it works fine. and also (ever since i got it) when i fire it up i get a code that flashes "INFL RST" what the F*CK does that mean?

Re: TACH QUESTION and some weird code
INFL RST is Airbag
stock tachs are not accurate and tend to get worse with time, this due to some of the electronic components failing.
If you get and aftermarket tach, it should come with the necessary accessories and instructions to wire it in, and if you get a decent one and hook it up properly it will be right.

Re: TACH QUESTION and some weird code
I think its normal for it to blink a few times when the car first starts, I think its the airbag module doing its self test...not sure though, as far as I'm concerned airbags are for suspensions
