Horn relay test question

I found this and tested it as written:

check the ohms, should be between 10 and 20 ohms, middle terminal (A) is where you apply voltage then use one of the others to ground the coil.
I took the relay out and measured from connection A to B (from +12V to the connection where the horn switch would be) and got 40 ohms. Does this mean that the relay is bad???

Thanks for the help!!!

Re: Horn relay test question

Are these the instructions for that relay specifically?
If not, then the resistance might be correct.
The main question is: does the relay actuate when you put 12V on it? That's the ultimate test.

Re: Horn relay test question

Ok, finally had the time for some further test. There is no current coming from the buttons when applied. However the buttons still make a "click" while pushing, so I'm not sure if the problem are the buttons.

How does the current flow to the buttons and on to the horn relays? Probably there is something to check too?
