burned harness, now what?
well, I bought my camaro with a burned harness. the owner said that there was a small engine fire and only the harness was damaged. So now 'm looking for a replacement for my 84 5.0 h.o. camaro. It was a 5 speed but it was converted to automatic. Would one of those painless harness's be good for me, or what do you guys think?
Also im takin out all the smog stuff and going carburated, so do i need the computer still?

From what I hear, the painless wiring harnesses are a good deal, so if your harness is burned up beyond repair, I'd go with that. I mean, if it's just one section of the harness, say, one of the branches going to a fuel injector bank on the drivers side, I would try and clip that section out from a junk yard car and splice it in.
