Ok so I'm seriously losing my mind here. Ive been working on my stereo for the last couple days and I finally found the wires I believe were originally meant for the stereo. I disconnected the battery to rewire the constant 12v and the new ground that I found to the stereo, I reconnected the battery and not only does my stereo not work AT ALL NOW (it use to work but it didn't output any sound.. now it wond even power on) but now my door locks keep engaging automatically. I had this problem a few months ago and found a thread with a similar issue. I replaced the battery terminal bolts and sanded down the battery wires like before (it fixed the problem the first time) but it still does it! Anyone have any idea of what else could cause this? I also noticed that when I plug the connector into the back of the stereo the locks engage instantly.. not sure if this helps..

 

i hooked up a wire from the fuse block to the radio for power.. had to look up a diagram of the radio wireing harness since it was all chopped up. looked like the previous owner cut the harness 3 in from the firewall.. pita.. ran new wires to fix it.. i forget offhand what colors the speaker wires are

sounds like u connected the radio power in to the power lock wires.. definatly fix that. connect radio = connects circut for power locks im assuming. id unhook what u did and start from square one
