305 vs 350 SD chips..interchangable?
I have a 1991 305 TPI auto car (SD). I am getting the dreaded code 43. I followed the flow chart in the GM service manual. At 67 degrees coolant temp, the knock sensor is not sending any false knock at idle. This seems to point at a bad memcal.
I have a 730 ECM from a 1992 350 TPI. Is the ESC part of the memcal or the ECM itself? Could I just swap ECMs and run the 305 TPI with the 350TPI chip without problems?

Yes you can, they are interchangable physically.

I kind of figured they were same physically, but how will a 305 run with a 350 chip?
Are the pulse width characteristcs similar enough that the injector volume difference will negate each other? 19lb vs. 22lb.?

I was able to run a 350 5-speed with 22lbs injectors and ZZ4 camshaft on my stock AXXD 305 5-speed 19lbs injectors chip.
