speedo help
i have a problem with my speedo not working and was wondering if anyone could give me some things to check. the computer reads the speed, but nothing on the gauge. it doesnt move at all when i turn on the key either. i dont know if there is a way to check and see if the gauge itself went bad, or check the wiring from the computer to the gauge itself.
a friend of mine also said there is some sort of box that splits the signal from the computer to the gauge, and to the cruise module. is there some way to check this box? if so where is it?
i would really appreciate any help someone could give me on this situation, as it is much easier to drive with a speedo

Re: speedo help
Did the speedometer die all of a sudden or slowly stopped working?
Drop the knee panel under the dash (driver side, of course) and locate the grey wire that comes out of the instrument cluster. Put a probe on it. Run the car (either on the road or jack stands) and you should see approximately 6VDC or 12VAC on a multimeter.
If not, drop the passenger knee panel and repead the same procedure with pin D on the C207 connector by the ECM.
Hope this helps.
