TA driving light issue

OK, my TA's front pass side amber driving light does not come on when i hit the switch for it. It does not come on when the headlights are up either. In both of these cases, the pass turn signal on my dash stays lit. It does function correctly as a turn signal though.

I've changed the bulbs already, and still the same issue - I've got a blinker, but no steady driving light. I've also replaced the flasher (probably unrelated).

Any ideas? My guess is a relay, I've been replacing a bunch of those lately.

Re: TA driving light issue

My guess is that you've got a wiring issue as obviously there should be 12v to the light when either the others or headlights are on. The turn signal will also put 12v there but from another source.

Just looked at the wiring diagram and it appears you have two bulbs in the parking lights, one is the parking light and the other a turn repeater.

I'd be tempted to check the wiring with a volt meter and the various stages etc.

Re: TA driving light issue

Sounds like you probably have a bad socket. Check for power on the appropriate wire with a test light. It should light brightly, if not check an inch or so from the socket.

No, theres only 1 bulb for the front amber driving lights.

Right on the money bgood, I just disconnected and reconnected the wires to the socket, and it started working again. I guess there was just a loose connection somewhere.

Thanks for all your help fellas!
