Dash Cluster Change Question
Dash Cluster Change Question
I'm not sure if this is the right location for this but anyway.
I have a Canadian 87 Camaro w a 2.8 V6 MPFI. The metric dash cluster speedo goes to 140 KPH (about 85MPH). I picked up a spare metric cluster from an 1988 Camaro w the same 2.8V6, but the Speedo goes to 185KPH (about 110MPH). Both cars are S code (V6 2.8 MPFI), so I think are original to both cars. I know the gauges from a V8 dash do not just swap across to a V6 2.8, but is this 1988 dash compatable with my 1987? Thanks

Re: Dash Cluster Change Question
The 88 dash cluster is compatable with your 87 and can be installed with a single modification,...... Remove the Tachometer from your original V6 cluster and install it into the replacement 88 V8 cluster.
Once the Tach is swapped - It's a plug and play installation !
