tbi to tpi engine swap no fuel coming out of injectors...HELP!!!

hi guys i just finished a tpi swap in my 88 firebird formula 350 and it won't start..., i took the tpi engine, ecm, and ecm to engine harness, and put it in the firebird that was in a 91 camaro z28 that ran before the swap, i also changed the fuel pump to a tpi fuel pump, now the car cranks over, it has spark and im getting gas to the the fuel rail but it won't start, im thinking it is the injectors because the spark plugs arn't wet when i pull them out, any help would be great....i think the 88 doesn't have a vats system, and the 91 did, could that be my problem??

That's what I am thinking that it is vats. Since your getting fuel to the rail and the injectors aren't firing, that's what vats disables. Did you wire in the pass key module? You would either have to find out what the resistance of the original key was and put in resistors to equal that to the module. Or you can have vats disabled in the chip.

Yes, if your car doesn't have VATS and you put in a computer that requires it, the computer won't inject fuel.

As McGarnicle pointed out, you can disable VATS on your chip. Or, you can install VATS in your car. Whichever you prefer.

ok i have the pass key module and the key, how would i go about getting the resistance value?, couldn't i just take the lock cylander from the steering collum and leave the key on the on postion run power to that and then wire up the pass key module to the f10 output of ecm c3 yellow connector, i think i read a dude on here that found something similar in his camaro tucked under the dash somewhere, and though someone had a push button start in the car a one point??

Not sure what all you have, we'll need to clarify on that.

If you have the VATS module from the donor car, then you'd need the key from the donor car. They are tied together.
Then you'd also need VATS wiring (from ANY VATS car, not necessarily that specific one).

Lemme play with my spare VATS module at home and we'll see what I can come up with.

More news at 11.
Back to you.

Well then, if you have the wiring, box, cylinder and key, it's not that hard.
You'll need to:
- replace the ignition cylinder
- install the VATS box under the dash
- run the VATS wires from the steering column to the VATS box
- install and connect the extra wiring harness (orange is fused constant power, pink/black is from ECM fuse, dark blue goes to C207 pin L, black/white is ground, white/black and purple/white are the wires from the key, ignore other wires).

Now you'll need to use the donor key since you have the donor ignition cylinder.

Hope this helps.

the cylinder is held in with a bolt, you'll see it when you get the wheel off.
