Re: HID's

Depends on how nice you want the install to be. It can vary from those $70 Ebay specials and a set of h4 conversion lenses to an actual bi-xenon projector retrofit. The easiest way to get NICE HIDs is to grab the setup from another stock car (e46 BMW 3series cars are choice for this) and mounting their projectors in a set of h4 conversion lenses, then mounting the ballasts (what powers the headlight capsules) and hooking the wiring up.

Re: HID's

Do a ebay search. I got mine off of there for approx $200. All that is involved is mounting the ballasts and plugging the adapter into the old light connection. A set of hand tools and a half hour is all it takes.

You'd be better off spending that same amount on running new heavier wires/relays to new higher output (that's higher output, not higher wattage) h4/9003 bulbs in a proper conversion housing. If you just slap a set of rebased HIDs in a regular halogen housing you're not getting the proper light spread and it'll just look whiter (or more blue, or more purple depending on the Kelvin rating of the capsules you choose).
