Turn key - Gauges move but no crank/start?
Ok so I had my carb rebuilt. Put it back on the engine and drove around only to find a vacuum leak under the carb. Got that sorted out with some RTV sealant (changing my top end soon). Waited a few days as it was raining around here and I was busy with work. Anyway, go to fire the car up today and it does nothing. Not even cranks. The gauges are moving though. I turn the key to the accessory position and the tach jumps to 4k and stays there, the temp gauge moves when I try and start the car like goes pegged then comes down when I turn it back to accessory. No clicking from the starter or anything. I put a new Jegs starter in it at the beginning of spring/summer and it worked before. I haven't touched anything since I sealed the vacuum leak. What gives? Everything is wired up correctly. I have an MSD ignition but like I said, it worked 4 days ago. Could it be a grounding issue? All my lights work and everything.
I'm nearly fed up with this thing.
