Are you sure you're talking about a thirdgen? Our cars have no timers for headlights or dome lights.

I "seem" to recall something about opera lighting on Berlys. But the memory is vague and I'm old. I surrendered to curiosity:

Re: timer for interior lights??????
The Berlinetta used a computer ( really a relay center ) to control all the cars internal and external lighting functions. It allowed the high beams to be used without the headlights as a "Flash to Pass" feature and automatically turned off the headlights when the key was turned off.
Another cool option was that the interior "courtesy" lights were on a timer. Open the door and the lights go on - turn the key ON and the lights go off. Turn the key OFF and the lights come on. When you open the door get out and close it the courtesy lights would be set on a timer and shut off after about 1 minute.
It was a little different than "opera" lighting,........ My Wifes truck has that feature and the lights slowly DIM out. The berlinetta lights were timed and shut off completely.
