my rear hatch won't release or retract automatically. I checked the fuse, its good. Ran a lead wire to the motor directly and it functions both up and down. Help???

 

i'm having the same issue, but mine is stuck down so i can't even get to the motor because the plastic covering is screwed on where i can't get to. if you can get to your pulldown motor then you should be able to search the message boards for more things you can check. it's a super common problem and there are tons of threads with information.

 

can you not open your hatch with the key? That is how I got mine open to the motor, but now that it is open I can't get it to close, somehow I would rather it be closed than open. I was only able to get it to latch a bit but it won't retract down.Do you have any idea how to fix the problem
