Autometer oil press guage wiring
Im adding an autometer oil pressure gauge to my car. Auto meter supplies a sender for the gauge but I have no open ports to put it in. Where my oil pressure switch would normally go is pluged so the switch is located at the back of the block under the dizzy. Can I tap into the wires for the factory oil pressure switch to run my autometer gauge?

above the oil filter are a couple of plugs that you can remove and get oil press. but you can use the one behind the distributor that is where i ran mine. i am using the stock one. but it works well. on my truck it was hooked up to one of the plugs above the oil filter.

Your just helpin me out all over huh. The holes are are actually plugged above the filter. Theres nothing to turn to get the plug out. I used the hole at the back under the dizzy for the pressure switch and Im hoping to just use those wires to run the autometer gauge.
