headlight motor mounting screws snapped

not an uncommon issue have noticed so it was no surprised to me when i went to change my stripped headlight gear thatthe heads of my motor mounting screws have snapped off leaving the threaded part of the screw still in its place.

my question is, what is the best way to remove these pesky headless screws? my first thought was an easy out but I am not sure if that would work since these screws must be tightly in place to begin with for the heads to snap so easily. has anyone tried just drilling through the screw entirely? if so, what size bit did you use? im hesitant to do so as I do not want to mess up the threads

also, I think I remember the correct pattern ofthe washers when putting the gear back together but I just want to be sure. does anyone know the correct pattern in which you assemble the washers back in place?

thanks all

you can drill out the screws. be carefull not to snap the drill bit off. i broke a carbide bit.. off needless to say i bought a new headlight motor...
