trying to find a 12v wire with a fuse?
im just trying to find a useful 12v wire in my car taht is already connected to the fuse box.
i already have a few items being powered from the 12v wire from my radio
i dont want to put too much off that wire
i have a complete digital dash that i need to power somehow
any suggestions?
if i must wire directly to the battery what size fuse would i neeed to protect my dash?
just alittle help guys
normal size wire that you see all over the car incase your worried about the guage of the wire

Re: trying to find a 12v wire with a fuse?
Camaro or T/A?
Never mind.
The 10A gages circuit has pink/black wires going all over the place. The 10A ECM circuit also has a pink/black wire. Then there's the 20A turn b/u circuit that is dark blue.
There are no other circuits that are powered continously from run through bulb test to start positions of the key.
I can't imagine the dash is drawing much power so I guess even a 3A or a 5A fuse would be plenty. This would protect even the thinnest wiring.
Max fuse size for wiring has been stated quite recently here.
