Wire Harness Woes!
Wire Harness Woes!
After years of contemplation, I finally installed a used 89 TPI engine into my 87 TPI TA,(with the help which had been languishing in my garage for nearly 10 years. Original engine, and replacement, are 350's. The replacement 89 TPI engine came with it's original harness (still connected) and computer. It was suggested to me that utilize the newer harness and computer, which I did. And just when I thought I was a few hours away from being reunited with my car, the wiring woes kicked in! I am not skilled at deciphering wire diagrams, and I am driving myself crazy. I can't figure out how to hook up my two cooling fans, windshield wipers, various relays?, A/C switch, ext... How should I proceed? Is there a company that makes harnesses for people who switch motor years like I did? If I could figure out what wires do what, could I just cut the connectors off my 87 harness and use crimp connectors to connect to the 89 harness? I'm totally befuddled! Thanks in advance for any help!
