1988 firebird 2.8 tachometer question.
I putting a 350 in my 1988 firebird and I would like to know if I can do to something to the stock tachometer to make it read right with the 350 in it?

You will have to get a V8 tach. A V6 tach won't work, the pulses are different.
You can get one out of a junkyard car. TBI tachs go to 6grand and TPI tachs go to 8grand. Take the instrument cluster apart and the tach basically plugs in.
The tach wire on that car is brown with a white tracer. I can send you a diagram if you don't already have it.

I was also thinking that maybe a face overlay might work.
But I do want a 7 or 8 grand tach.
