I'm still fairly new at diagnosing stuff; need pointers at where to look and for 'dummies' type answers. I hate electrical!

It started today, yesterday my car ran fine but today at around 915-920am when I was about to go to work...

I put my ignition key into the ignition and I turned it, it primed the pump and as I was about to turn it a bit more to activate the starter a weird noise and nothing, no clicks and no noises, even my accessories stopped working.

My lights still turn on though but I don't have any power to my hatch nor do I hear the starter nor do I see the check engine light turn on. I quit messing with it and got into another vehicle and drove to work.

When I got back I tried again, I plugged in the key and turned the key and it primed the pump and I clicked it again to start the car and no noise no nothing. Again all my accessories it seems like my hatch stopped working.

Tried again a bit later and still nothing, so it appears that it will get to the point of cranking then everything cuts out real quick and disables my car for a bit, either way my car doesn't start.

+++Currently, no power at all; not even my headlights, will take in my battery tomorrow. Figured by the time I got it out and drove to autozone they would be close to closing and I would not get my battery tested properly anyways.

Any suggestions on where to look for tomorrow?
I'm going to take my battery to test right now or tomorrow if I can't get it off in the next 15 or so minutes and the drive to autozone.

Just check your cable connections at the battery first for tightness and corrosion.

Next check the fusible links at the starter.

Where were you yesterday! Lol!
I had my battery tested today at Autozone and I mentioned my problem after my battery tested good. He told me my battery was good enough to keep my lights and stuff going but if I had a bad connection it would do what my car was doing. His best guess and yours were dead on; I got some battery spray cleaner and a battery brush and new cable clamps/tposts whatever you call those things and everything fires up like a champ again.

Thanks for the reply, problem solved. Only cost me $15.00

Good thing too because I was thinking it was part of the ignition so I was going to start removing my interior panels to search for a short in the harness somewhere which I didn't look forward too!
