Where is my block to frame ground??
Where is my block to frame ground??
Just cleaning all my connections and I can't seem to find my block to frame ground. I've found the block to firewall(pictured in my hand), and there also seems to be a tiny black wire going from the rear block bolt into that big wiring harness in the pic, but I can't find anything going from block to frame. I'm used to seeing the block ground have two braided wires, one to firewall and one to frame.
Any idea where my frame ground is?
I've found/cleaned the battery ground to block(pass side front of engine, behind AIR pump), the block to firewall, and battery to sheet metal(next to battery).
Am I missing any?
But I'd really like to know where my frame ground is!
Thanks

Re: Where is my block to frame ground??
Got under and I looked really good, and still couldn't find anything either side going to the frame.
I did however find a cut wire bolted to the body on the driver side inside firewall area where it starts to bend back(next to flywheel I guess). There is only maybe an inch of wire left on the bolt. I can not find the other end. Any ideas?
I'm used to trucks with frames that are separate from the body, so maybe with these F-bodies, since there are no frame rails running all the way back(unibody is what they call these?) maybe that's why there is no block to frame gnd wire because the block to firewall wire is the same thing?

Camaro and firebirds are a uni-body design. There is no block to frame ground since the body acts as part of the frame. There is only the grounds that you mentioned(battery to body, battery to engine block, and the braided wire body to block). Dont know of any others. Not forsure what your broken wire is or where it goes.
