V6 to V8 Tachometer
Where can I get the resistor to convert my factory V6 tach over to a v8? I have a 91 RS v6 car that's been converted to a 454 BB with HEI ignition. the tach moves but is extremely wrong.

Re: V6 to V8 Tachometer
I`d think it be alot easier to just buy an aftermarket tach. All these old tachs are off pretty much and from what I`ve read on here it may never be dead on again.I could be wrong though.Mine hits 7 grand at about 40 mph.Bought a cheepo tach at first, hooked up 3 wires and mounted it,done.

Re: V6 to V8 Tachometer
Ok,if thats what you want you can find it on here.I`m not sure if it would be easier to find one that was originaly a v8 tach or not.I have seen a coupke of threads on here about fixing these tachs with new resistors and such.Try a search on tachometer fix or something along those lines.I saw a thread on it a week or so ago.Or maybe someone will chime in.Goodluck and welcome to TGO.

Re: V6 to V8 Tachometer
Thanks for the help. I just went out and grabbed my bill of sale, checked the VIN and it was a V8 car. So that means that my tach is just screwed up.
I don't suppose anyone is remaking these clusters. So I guess aftermarket is my only option.
