85 IROC -- no engine, new battery, nothing works....HELP
Hey guys -- been a member a while, but haven't posted much. I finally got my first third gen (have had many first and seconds over the years) and need some help.
I bought a 1985 IROC minus the engine and transmission. It has the Conteur "camarocamarocamaro" seats (power,) and I really need to move the driver's seat back to get in it and would like to put the windows down while the car is in the garage waiting for an engine. I put a new battery in and connected the cables -- but nothing works. No lights, no power seat, no windows. Nothing. All fuses are OK.
Am I missing something?

What are these two connectors for? They're right by the battery.

The wires from them seem to run to this fuseholder on the passenger inner fender:

And it's all spliced here at the battery. Why is there no power to any of the accessories?

If it's minus the engine, then where is the positive battery cable that goes to the starter?

their is a fusable link that goes to the starter if you dont have power to that you dont have any power to anything. Thread Starter

You guys rock. I ran a jumper 10 ga wire from the positive terminal to the starter wire in the metal sleeve coming off the firewall part of the harness and BAM! We have power!
