pass key problems...again

I have an 89 V6 camaro and I've had pass key problems this past august. when I last fixed it I used resistors to override or intercept the pass key so it wouldn't try to read the metal leaves that weren't reading correctly on the keyswitch. now I have the same symptoms again.

the syptoms are as follows:
fuel pump doesn't run
security light turns on for about 3 seconds when key is in run position
nothing happens when key goes to start position
security light doesn't come on again for another 5 minutes or so

is it possible that lower temperatures have altered the resistance of my fix enough that my car won't start? the resistors are not sodered on, I was actually going to sodder them sometime this week.

please help, I want to drive my car.

I have found that the security light now comes on and acts normally every time I turn the key. I'm thinking its the starter enable relay now, but I can't be sure. I don't have a test light to probe around with right now.

Re: pass key problems...again

the fuel pump could be running actually. I live on a farm and some machinary has been running nonstop so maybe I'm just not hearing it. I tried jumping the starter enable relay to get the car cranking but its no use. this points to something in the starting/charging system.
