ICM going out
ICM going out
For what i understand the ICM can also control the fuel injectors? What are some signs of an faulty or ICM that is going out. The problem i'm having now is that my '88 LB9 has trouble starting. I thought it was ignition, then today i sprayed carb clean past the throttle plates and it helped significantly. So now i'm too believe that its not starting due to lack of fuel. Also when i start it and its strugling I pump the gas and it starts right over. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT WITH TPI! Would this be from a ICM problem or maybe the fuel filter is clogged? Any ideas will be appreciated.

Re: ICM going out
I replaced my fuel filter when I did the fuel pump. It's cheap & easy, so if you don't know when it was done, might as well do it.
When my ICM went, it just died while I was cruising 65 on the highway with cruise control. I had to throw it in neutral and get three lanes over to the right. Had it towed home. The ICM was easy and @ $50.
