Red led on firewall???
Ok so my girlfriend got a 1987 T/A and we noticed a little red LED that blinks occasionally while the car is running. Its located on the top right hand side of the firewall. Anybody know what this could be? sorry no pics

Re: Red led on firewall???
Well its to late to go out and look at it tonight, but we noticed a red wire (that has an inline fuse) near the battery that was disconnected so we attached it to the positive side of the battery and a little red led attached to the firewall above like the master cylinder started blinking. I flashes when you first start the car, then it will stop and flash a couple of quick flashes every now and then while the cars running. When you turn off the car it flashes for a few moments then stops.

Definitely nothing OEM...Sounds more like a half un-installed alarm system indicator light, that was left behind.

definitely an aftermarket alarm light. The reason it blinks after it starts most likely is its flashing a code for whatever last set the alarm off. If you have no alarm remotes check up under your dash to see if anything looks aftermarket.
