Car Won't Start or Run

I have a 1991 Camaro RS 3.1L V6 - at first the problem was just that the car would suddenly die while driving. It then led to it not starting at all. It will turn over but not start. I took it to the chevy dealership and they told me it was an electrical issue. They began to diagnose it, but came up with no solutions after me spending $200 for that diagnosis. They said they could keep trying to diagnose, but it would probably run me about $500 just to diagnose it. So I took the car back. I have no idea where I would even start. Has anyone else come across this in their car or have a possible solution that I could check? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You need to start real simple.
Is it getting fuel, fire, and air.
Check your fuses first.
Dose your fuel pump come on, get a guage, and see how much pressure.
Do your plugs fire a blue spark.

Re: Car Won't Start or Run

So I was going through my car today and found a few ignition coils and also another one connected under the hood, but not mounted. So that would lead me to believe that the mechanic must have thought my problem had something to do with the coil. Does this information help me in narrowing down my problem at all? Thank you.

Re: Car Won't Start or Run

Today I had a friend turn ignition on while I was under the car near the gas tank to see if I could hear the fuel pump coming on. I heard no sounds whatsoever coming from that general area. Am I correct that when the ignition is on you should hear the fuel pump come on? I also put a fuel pressure gauge on to see if I got any pressure. There was no reading on the gauge, but I am not sure if I had it connected correctly.
