windshield wiper motor cover alignment

how does the wiper motor cover align up? anyone know the trick to getting the wiper motor cover back on right?

why? got some bad advice that cover removal was necessary when changing washer pump, so took wiper motor cover off (removed 3 hex screws then took off cover). amazingly, its not an easy alignment. wipers worked perfect before but now just move 2 inches.

Thanks for your time but not sure this helps me. My motor has not moved from park, but on removing the plastic cover to rectify bad connections the blue plastic segment within the cover has got moved now where ever I put it wipers only move an inch or two. There is writing on the segment but doesn't make much sense to me.

If a wiper motor cover gets re-installed on the motor wrong (without the "cam" aligned in the proper position - as shown) there will be problems. I don't know if it helps or not; just answering the question that was asked.
