What Does INFL REST mean?

hey i have a 91 maro. the INFL REST light was staying on when i was warming it up one night and know it wont hold a charge. is it just a warning light? bc now my alternator is shot.

That light should only be displayed once the car is first started. If it's still lit once the car ha srun for a minute or so than the Air Bags will NOT deploy.
INFL REST = INFLatable RESTraint.

I have a GT wheel on my 91 vert and my infl rest is always on because the airbag stuff is missing
