Temp Sensor Wiring
I recently had a an aftermarket fuel injection system installed on my 1987 firebird. When I took it in to the shop the temp gauge was not working becuase the the sensor had fallen apart, and I was going to fix it when I got the car back from the shop. I didn't tell the shop about this problem but when I got the car back from the shop they had used the hole in the head where the temp gauge sensor was for the new temp sensor for the fuel injection system, They thought it wasn't being used for anything becasue the sensor wasn't hooked up. If I disconnect the connecter to the temp for the fuel injection system, and put the old connector for the gauge on it I can get a good temp reading. I was wondering if I can just splice the temp gauge wire into the the fuel injection temp sensor wire, or will this cause problems? (i.e faulty signal because to things are using the same sensor.)
