Convert Cable to VSS
I need to convert Cable to VSS and did a search. I have seen that many people have actually just replaced a cable sensor to a VSS into their transmission. Although I would not mind that it will get a little expensive for my tastes. So I found this and I cannot figure out if this is going from cable to vss or vss to cable and which pulse I would need. I have a 1989 Camaro RS T-5 350. I am putting in a speedometer from a 1988 Formula 140 mph.

The Sen-01-1 is what I am looking at.

Re: Convert Cable to VSS
That's one piece you'll need. I have one of those that came with the digital gauges I had made for my 92 RS. I already had the electronic VSS, so I didn't need the piece. It puts out 8K pulses per mile, your RS probably needs 2K or 4K per mile (my 89 305 TBI I'm pretty sure uses 2K, my 92 V6 is 4K per mile). You will probably need this piece to convert 8K to the proper count for your car.

For shipping, you can have the VSS sender as I have no use for it. Shoot me a PM with shipping info and I'll find out how much it'll be.
I'll also make sure this thing fits my 89's tranny. I've had it for almost 4 years and it looks almost like the one pictured for Ford, but design may have changed since then.
