Bad luck with wiper motors or is it the switch?
Two weeks ago the wipers on my 91 rs completely died in mid stroke (during an ice storm no less). The fuse is good, so I bought a reman motor from advance auto. I put my pulse board on the replacement motor, installed it and the wipers still won't work. So, I assumed my pulse board is bad. Went to the junkyard today and pulled an identical motor out of a 91 formula. Installed it and...wipers still don't work at all.
So my question is...do I have really bad luck with buying defective wiper motors or is my switch bad? I guess what I need to know is how I might be able to test the components to figure out if its the motor, pulse board, or the switch. If it is the switch, what is involved in replacing it? Thanks for the help!

Re: Bad luck with wiper motors or is it the switch?
Update...I figured out that the switch is bad by putting power to the motor. Since it is supposed to snow/sleet/freezing rain for the next 2 1/2 days straight, I wired in a toggle switch just so I could have some sort of wipers.
I ran a wire out of the fuse box to one terminal on the switch. On the other switch terminal, I ran two wires. One I spliced into the gray wire (going into the module) and the other I spliced into the purple wire. Applying power just to the gray wire doesn't do anything. Applying power to just the purple wire parks the wipers. Applying power to both makes the wipers move in "low" speed. It also provides power to the washer pump so I now have wipers and fluid for the winter weather. Hopefully this learning experience will be of use to someone else.
I will have to try undertaking the column disassembly thing this weekend.
