fuel pump relay

Which relay is for the fuel pump? There are two next to each other and also which wires do i jump to check relay? Any help would be appreciated as i need to sell my sons camaro. He won't be driving for at least 33 months. The car is a 90 rs 305 TBI.

those are not the same locations on my car, that looks as if someone butchered theirs then took a pic. That's also a pic for a TPI I think, because I'm not sure what a TBI looks like.

if tbi is the same as tpi, all 3 relays are suppose to work for any 3, it doesn't matter what's plugged in where, supposedly.

both relays are the same part number, try switching the plugs.

but I'm not sure which wires to jump.

Re: fuel pump relay

That's correct, the ECM only energizes the fuel pump for 2 seconds to prime the fuel system when the ignition is turned on. Then once you crank the engine over, it runs the fuel pump again when it detects pulses from the distributor.

Re: fuel pump relay

Make sure you're getting power to the tank connector first. Dropping the tank is a pain with the car on a hoist. The pass through for it is in the center of the car, just above the drive shaft tunnel, behind the rear seat back.
