power locks with no switch

My buddy had a remote start alarm installed on his 93 s-10. he had to put on electric door lock motors. but he dosent have to use a switch to unlock them, he can just grab the orange lock indicator, and it flips the lock on the other door. Is this an s-10 thing, or is there a way to make this work on my camaro?

the door lock switch for these cars looks cheap and crappy imo.

Just wondering if its possible to do this, as i am planning an alarm system and keyless entry for the car.

p.s, what brand/model keyless systems are you guys using?

Im not interested in remote start. I'm carburated, the car dosent drive in snow, and it has no a/c. so it'd be pretty pointless for any time of the year

you shoulda been up in the chicagoland this past week, you would be singing a different song

but back on topic....two ways are really nice, i would stay away from the new two way models offered by dei (viper, python, clifford) respender le i think they are called. i have one in my rs and its been nothing but problems. the python 990 or the viper 5900 (i think) has a "one mile range", it isnt that long but it is by far the longest range i have ever dealt with.

Re: power locks with no switch

Can you post a picture? I'd like to know more about this orange button.... I was using a BOA remote start/keyless entry on my Trans Am but switch to some Ultra Start kit from ebay because it had more features. I like to hop into a warm car so I use the remote start in the winters... It is nice having keyless entry...
