wouldn't you say that if my car was loosing voltage while driving and then died while i was driving the alternator is bad? just clarifying

 

yep, happened to me, except it didnt die....

 

yeah figured it was, is it the efi that really kills the battery? all lights and everything was off.

 

i think its the ignition, but the injectors, (and fans and a/c) cant help

 

there is no ac, injectors are brand new, alternator probably just had enough... do you know of a good amp alternator for a 5.0 i have a sound system nothing crazy 2 10's no capacitor. any recommendations?

 

i just got the duralast gold from autozone, 2 year warranty, i have 2 10's and no capacitor, it does fine, just make sure u have a VERY nice battery, and you dont need a cap, my battery went bad because of no cap and the sound system, which in turn fried my alternator, so that was expensive, but now i have a nice battery and new alternator, no problems

 

what is the amprage on your alternator

 

just get the autozone/ checker alternator. itll do fine. Tip though, get a capacitor it wouldnt hurt to have one
