Clifford alarm remotes?
My car came with a Clifford alarm, and I'd like to use it but the remote fob thing that it came with only one of the buttons works so the alarm is disconnected. It's a two button remote, and I'd like to get a replacement. Anyone have any good sources? I checked on ebay but I'm always alittle skeptical buying stuff like this because I'd imagine it'd have to be programmed to talk with my alarm.

I had the same problem a while back. I got a replacement remote from this site: http://www.autotechs.com/subcat57.htm They are all pricey as he!! though.
Maybe the alarm isn't programmed to use both buttons? I did a search for the model # online and found the owners manual. Using the manual I was able to re-program the remote to use whatever buttons I wanted. Here's the link to Cliffords website for a download of the manual: http://www.clifford.com/Support/Guides.aspx
Good luck!

I found a local alarm place that for $120 will order me up two remotes, and program them to match my car. I might go with that. I found some on ebay for $35 each plus shipping, but don't know if I can trust myself to figure out the programming. I'm E-tarded when it comes to electronic stuff.

5215 has a good point, if its an older style two button remote the way the typically worked was the first button operated both lock and unlock and the second is an aux channel (like trunk pop) and hitting both would remote start. they used the same remotes for many different systems so all features may not be hooked up

Really. I don't even have power locks or even a hatch pop LOL. All I want to do is figure out how to arm/disarm the damned thing.

I ended up finding a replacement case for the one remote that I have. Reading the instructions I figured out how to use it. This place(https://www.remotesandkeys.com/) had a case for $12 shipped. So at least I'll have one working remote for the time being.
