91 camaro stock alarm system

Im my car ive got the security light that comes on for a sec on the dash when started. Just below the light ****, i think there was a security light? First owner replaced it with a switch. When i was behind the cover i seen a few wires cut off back there and was wondering if those were for the system. My question is does anyone have any info or can point me to where i might find the info on this? Also how did these systems work?

Thanks

I don't believe that F-bodies came equipped with alarm systems from the factory.
The dash security light is for VATS and as long as it turns off after start, you're good.
The extra cut wiring in the dash is probably just another hackjob by previous owners. If you want to remove it, make sure you remove only dead/disconnected wires.

If my memory serves me correct that security light is for the VAT system. Than is the id chip that is on your ignition key....
