a/c blower smoking
Well, i just got my a/c delete box in and decided to install it and put everything back together and turn on the a/c fan to see how everything works and after a few seconds i started smelling something burning and smoke coming from the a/c delete box area. So i visually checked all the wiring to and from it and everything seems to be right, nothing grounding out at all. So my guess is that it might be something internal in the fan motor that is grounding out? I also unhooked the fan from the delete box housing and turned it on to double check the blower motor and sure enough it was smoking, so i figured i would post before i go and replace it and still have the same problem. Another question, was just wondering if i should cut a hole in the delete box for the resistor or is leaving it unplugged alright? One last question my cruise control isn't working and i checked the fuses also, anyone have any idea what the problem might be?
Thanks for the help

Re: a/c blower smoking
sounds like the squirrel cage might be jammed-take
blower out and test-if it turns free and smokes a new
motor will be needed.
