Question about a/c wiring harness
I have been trying to fix the rats nest of wires under the hood of my 85 iroc. It has had a 350 put in it right before i bought it, and the wiring is a mess. Problem I am having now...there is 5 wires coming thru the firewall on the drivers side...2 of them connect to my a/c clutch(one is black, the other is green with black stripe), another wire goes some were into the block area near the spark plugs on the driver side(this wire is solid green), this wire is definatly hooked to something, but has been burnt pretty bad(obviously by the exhaust/headers). The other 2 wires have been cut and connect to nothing(one is solid green the other green with white stripe). My question is...what are the 2 cut wires suppose to go to, and what is that 3rd wire that is burnt connecting to? Any help woukd be great. Thanks --TARHEEL247

Does your temp gauge work? My guess is the solid green burnt wire was to the temp sensor that would have been in the cylinder head.

Re: Question about a/c wiring harness
My temp gauge does work, but my oil pressure gauge doesn't...wonder if one of the wires could be for oil pressure...??
