My 86 TA has a 350 chevrolet engine as it used to be a race car and I have since brought it back to original except for engine. The head lights used to popup fine but now they don't. They light and work fine but no movement. Where can I get a wiring diagram showing how they should be wired. Both are not working so I'm assuming it's electrical and not the motors because both worked fine until a week ago. This is the 3-wire system, not 2-wire as in 1989. Thanks

 

The wiring diagram would be in the 1986 Firebird Service Manual. Available at www.helminc.com. If you plan on keeping the car and working on it yourself, you need to buy the book.

Sorry, I forgot to add that I include the headlight diagnostic guide along with the instruction sheet with the TDS 508210 1982-86 headlight repair kit I sell.

Lon: I am selling the car. How much for just the headlight wiring schematic so I can try to trace the problem down. It must be a relay or electrical because the odds of both motors going out at the same time seems improbable. Appreciate all the help. Tony 321-848-2451
