Vent/Heater Blower

So 2 things happened, one, i had a electrical surge that blew some fuses (all replaced), and second i removed my AC unit (most of it). Now my heater doesn't blow at all, but it feels like there is still heat. i took the vent motor out and hooked it straight to the battery and it didn't blow, so i figured it dead and went and got another blower off a 87 and hooked it up to power and it didn't blow either. now the 87 had electric problems before it died so it could have been dead too. i was just wondering if there were any other options or anything i missed (if not i'll go get a new vent motor).

Its a 84 z28 wit a 350 if it matters.

You said you hooked the motor directly to the battery, and it didn’t work.

You also hooked one from an 87 directly to the battery, and it didn’t work.

Was the 87 working in the car before you (if) removed it?
