Interior wiring questions
ok So I have a 87 Trans am and the dash was cracked faded and missing peaces so i went out and got a interior out of a camaro (still 3rd gen) just wondering the fallowing questions:
1) are the head light/dimmer wires close the the same and able to be repinned into the camaro headlight switch?
2)the T/A had electric speedo and 2 clips pluged into the cluster I have ordered the dakota digital gauge cluster for the camaro and just wondering if it's gonna be a bitch to wire up or not?
Any help on this topic would be very helpful thanx

Re: Interior wiring questions
The Camaro and TransAm wiring harnesses are different enough that you'll have to customize them to your application but since you're adding an aftermarket cluster anyway, the point and questions are rather moot since your into that kind of project anyway.. Would have been a lot less hassle to replace the harness with the same make/year and exact model application. Takes all the guess work out of it.
I ran into similar problems when we swapped a 92 TransAm dash, electronics and the harnesses into an 87 Camaro. It's not plug and play unless you transplant it all. Otherwise, it's all custom work. Right down to getting it to work right.
Good luck
