Hatch pull down motor FYI
This migh be irelevent, but I just replaced a few parts on the the pull down assembly with parts from top down solutions ( Thanks Lon!). Anyway, the instructions caution you against removing the motor itself and of course I did and good thing I blew a fuse cause what happens is the brushes are spring loaded so if you remove the motor from the housing they fall out. If you don't catch this before slapping it back together.....who knows what could happen and you'll need a new motor. If this happens, release the tension on the brushes by unhooking the spring from the stud and then slip the motor back into the brush housing ( with brushes in place!) then carefully place the end of the spring back onto the stud. Assemble the silver motor cover containg the magnets onto the gear and bolt it back up to the plastic housing. I wish I took pictures...sorry, hope this helps
