Someone please help!!! H4 HID Headlight Conversion
I bought H4 headlights and bought the H4 hid lights I hook them up and its like they are switched. Its a low/high bulb. The high beam is on when I have the low beams on and i hit the high beams and the hid's start to flicker for about 10 seconds then stops. I need any opp right now. I read on here that some guy posted a year ago to cut the green wires. I did that and still doesnt work....... Any clue on what to do????

Re: Someone please help!!! H4 HID Headlight Conversion
The location of the wires are different on H4s than the stock sealed beams. If you don't fix that issue, then you have a false ground which is causing the flashing light issue. Make sure you get the wiring right.

Yeah make sure you have the wires correct, even if that includes not using the stock connector. Most HID's dont have hi-beams, and will flicker if there's a weak electrical connection to the wires.
It should also be noted that there are 2 types of "HID" kits out on the market. the REAL High Intensity Discharge bulbs are skinny, plasma-like bulbs that are super sensitive and will blow if you touch the glass from the natural oil of your fingers, if not cleaned off with rubbing alcohol. They are powered via power inverters called 'ballasts' which will make them naturally flicker when warming up after turning them on, then stay constant.
The FAKE "HID" bulbs look just like your stock bulbs but may be tinted yellow or blue, and are sold in commercial packaging with such names as cyber white, hyper white, or even in japanese so you wont be able to read that the text really reads japanese for "HID simulating replacement".

Re: Someone please help!!! H4 HID Headlight Conversion
they wont turn on unless there's the rated power available, you could have a loose ground somewhere. other than that, the ballast has 4 connectors to it, two to the bulb and two to the stock wiring. it could just be that the ballast is turned around and the wires to the bulb should be connected to the stock wiring and vice versa. that has happened to me before.

Re: Someone please help!!! H4 HID Headlight Conversion
Just an FYI, I used two Kits to get mine going...4 ballasts in all. I couldn't resist, I got a smoking deal on the 'real" thing. I wouldn't change a thing now! The only initial issue was the wiring to the low beams which affected the high beams. Now it's great.
