Alright,, car normally starts and runs beautifully 44k miles. 1989 Chevy Camaro Iroc. TPI305, 5 spd.

Drove my girl to friendlys, parked the car.. came back out car wouldn't start...Beginning of the fun.

1). Okay when I turn the key, the Coolant temp gauge grounds out. All lights and stereo work in the car. So I am assuming the battery cables for main power work... Though I may go back home tonite and test that theory now that I think of it. Note: After turning the key to start the vehicle, upon leaving the vehicle you get your *** shocked.

2). I tested the starter (powermaster 9600), bought a remote starter switch. By itself it will not turn the starter. So I tried to jump the starter with cables, upon doing so the starter cranked the motor over. Engine does not fire. (this is my only reason for questioning the cables). The starter is grounded nicely to the block.

3). Okay, I tested the ignition system(MSD Ignition wires and coil, stock box and dizzy). Cranked the motor, have power, spark is weak but present.

4). Check for fuel.. Its sitting at about 2-3 psi constant.

5). Switched the relays around.. Still same problem.

Now,, I am going to check out my battery cables tonite with a multimeter, but still I have power to the vehicle. As such this should be enough to run the stock fuel pump. Which leads me to believe the security system? My question is what in the system would disable both the starter and the fuel pump, yet let the rest of the vehicle run normally?
