i have searched numerous local parts store. i am looking for the third brake light bulbs for the brake light in the spoiler. any help would be appreciated.

 

Checked a Napa yet? I just bought 4 of them on tuesday for my 88. I don't know why any other part store wouldn't have them. Are you asking for a buld for the third brake light? Or are you taking one with you? If you're asking...thats most likely your problem. The idiots they get to work at most parts stores can't tell the differance between a headlight and tail light (bulb).

 

i know what the bulb looks like, i just don't see any on the shelves. maybe i have to ask??? what was the part number, do you remember? i looked in the book and i believe it is 891

are those just plug and play? is it the whole assembly with outer lense?? or just replaces bulb assembly??

 

That bulb looks familiar, I think at Autozone we keep that bulb next to the fog lights probably just because the number follows.

 

If for the LED kit, it's just the LEDs that plug into the same socket as the normal bulbs. Should also have a resistor or current limiting diode to splice into your harness. I bought mine when he still had a deluxe kit and it came with a prewired harness, with the necessary component, which installed between the stock harness and the bulb assy. It comes with the necessary instructions which are easy to follow.

 

Do you have a Home Depot close by? Check the outdoor lighting aisle. Look for replacement bulbs for Malibu brand lights. The ones you want are the 10-watt sized bulbs.

 

that is the same bulb that is in the rear interior light. yes they are bright. never took the one in my 90 out of the break light are you sure that is it?

 

Radio shack was the only place in town I could find mine other than going online.I like instant gratification if at all possible

 

Radio Shack, 20V halogens for $1.99 + tax, or better yet buy the led kit.

 

go to radio shack part # 272-1177 , your wallet will thank you . 2 bux there , 6+ bux at advance . good luck .

A word of advice, DO NOT touch the halogen bulbs with your bare fingers. The oil from your skin will cause hot spots and shorten the bulbs life.

 

quick question, its says standard kit is 2.00 dollars is that for one led bulb?
