MAF sensor wire??!!?
ive got a 92 z28 with 350 tpi. i know the MAF sensor is between the throttle body and the air filter, but there are no wires connecting the MAF snesor to anything. i cant seem to find them though. am i just missing the wire completely or does it have a secret location somewhere i dont know about???

Re: MAF sensor wire??!!?
If you got the original 90+ TPI setup, it doesn't use a MAF sensor. They used it only on the TPI systems until '89.
Hope this helps.

Re: MAF sensor wire??!!?
you HAVE A MAP - mass air pressure - you don't have a MAF - mass air flow. the maf requires air to pass over the wire to tell the computer how to react and what is happening.your map uses air pressure in the manifold to tell the computer what is happening and how to react.
but you are right about the location, if you had a maf.
Re: MAF sensor wire??!!?
i know its not the original engine, it might have been a 305 TPI consideringit was a z28, but idk if its the right wiring harness or computer. i dont know much about the electronic ****! STICK TO CARBS!!!!!!

Re: MAF sensor wire??!!?
Nope. The MAP provides pressure readings to the computer so that it can adjust the engine fueling and timing. There is nothing that can be improved on this simple sensor.
