just about 5minutes ago i went to put my ipod into the cig lighter and i realized that it wasnt going is so i took it out to see what was goin on. the connector came apart inside the cig lighter. their was a spring and a piece of metal inside it so i tried gettin it out and when i did the things started glowing red. after this happened my radio got all scrambled and does not work anymore along with my power windows and interior lights. im so pissed off right now. i replaced the fuse and it still dont work WHAT HAPPENED. if someone has any idea please help me out here. thanks

 

well from experience you might of fried the wire down. the reason i say this is b/c the radio is on a different circuit aside the cigar lighter

 

You probably either fried your fuse block or maybe a couple relays? Fusible links?

 

You just lost the memory back-up supply to the radio. Re-check the fuse, it should be a straightforward issue, same fuse for all 3 things. Did you get all pieces of the spring out of there? Windows are on a separate circuit. Anything else not working, blower, headlights?
There's only small differences, but you forgot to mention what car this is..

 

its a 1986 ws6 305 tpi. pritty sure i got all the pieces out of the cig lighter. the stero screen is all jumbled and dont work at all. windows work. the only things that dont are the interior lights, power mirrors and stero. thanks fellas
