Spark wire routing with smog headers
So I finally got my engine replaced, put the edelbrock AIR tube headers (cars not old enough to leave AIR off, found these used) on while I was at it, now I'm trying to figure out how I'm supposed to route my spark plug wires.
First I just threw the wires over the top to make sure the car runs, but you can see that I can't leave the wires that way or they'd burn.

I imagine that the air tubes get hot enough that I don't want the wires resting on them. I'd be fine with the driver side, but on the passenger side, there's not enough room to run the wires from the top, there's under a quarter inch on each side for the number 8.
So I'm going to have to run the wires from the bottom right? I'll need a wire loom set like the one halfway down this page? http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?catcode=40009
But what type of wires will I need then? Will the usual custom fit set work, or is that made for cars with the stock exhaust and wire routing? I'll need a universal set with all 90 degree boots and have to trim that? Does anybody have a suggestion for a set that I'm likely to find at autozone/advance/napa/whatever that isn't going to be $70+?

I put them into pairs like cyliders 1 and 3, and 5 and 8, ect. then ran them next to the valve covers (under the air tubes) and on top the valve covers to the distributer. i reused the stock wire organizer things to clean it up a bit. not the prettiest way but it works.

I don't think there was enough room to put the wires between the valve covers and the air tubes. The boots wouldn't even fit through.
Advance didn't have any of the under-header looms, and a special order from one of their partner companies was $40. So I'm ordering that from summit, and probably a universal wire set. The streetfire 90 degree HEI one. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku Unless somebody can tell me if that's the wrong kind or that those wires suck.
