i have a 5.7 tune port, there is a 1 wire sensor with a connector on it looks like a o2 sensor plug, anywho when i plug it up my engine light comes on uplug it it goes out, runs fine just what is it? close to egr valve...

so is this sensor need replaced on egr valve, looks like a tough one to get to, but pluged up light on unpluged engine light off.

 

dont know where you are and if its a maf or map system but the egr is federal mandated - you need to make sure it works if you operate on the street.
it tells the computer some important things to get the best performance out of your camaro.

there are probably other places i just happen to have that one up.

 

Have you pulled the code for the check engine light? Is it 32 for the EGR system or something else? That would tell you a little bit about what's wrong.
